Request for EUR Revision E

The development of the EUR Specification Document, divided in 3 volumes (Volumes 1, 2 & 4) is the main product of the EUR organisation.
The EUR Specification Document (Volumes 1, 2 & 4) is named « EUR Document » in this website.
The EUR Document establishes common requirements for generation III designs to be proposed by vendors for construction in Europe and for the promotion of these designs at the international level.
The harmonisation which is sought by the EUR utilities is aimed at delivering the safest and most competitive designs based on a set of common requirements shared all over Europe.

The current version of the EUR Document, Revision E was approved by the EUR Steering Committee in December 2016 and released in July 2017.
One major objective of Revision E was the harmonisation of the EUR requirements with the new updated international safety standards and Fukushima Lessons Learned., especially with the new WENRA and IAEA texts.

The conditions of delivery of the EUR Document (Vol 1, 2 & 4) and the fee to be paid are defined according to the requesting organisation category.

4 categories of requesters are defined by the EUR organisation:

1. European utilities not belonging to the EUR Organisation and non-European utilities

2. Vendors 

3. “Non-Profit Making” Organisations: (i.e. use “for information only”)

4. “Profit Making” Organisations 

Moreover, a “Rights of use Non-Disclosure Agreement” form has to be signed by a management representative of the requesting organisation. The NDA, which is specific to each request:

- Defines the scope of the rights of use,

- Forbids the distribution of the EUR Document further to any other third party,

- Specifies the EUR organisation disclaimer concerning the liability exemption.
